Nova Escola Americana - kid cudi - Man on the moon: the end of day.

Cudi is an amateur rapper, he's like wise a bad communicator, his lyrics are spacey and incomprehensible most of the time. On the other hand he was borderline genius choosing the landscape sounds of his classic mixtape, has a cool mass appeal relaxed singing voice, like dwele without soul or minimalism which is great for transcending race barriers. he brings a character to table, like eminem brought you slim shady in 97, like busta with a cartoon character in end of tribes peak and break up of leaders of the new school and with the gimmick they created a particular sound came with it and god knows hiphop needs it, origininality and arstistry of this sort is the only way for hiphop, there is no way it'll make it if everybody just raps the same topics and doesnt dream conceptual albums anymore . its funny rappers didnt take the Cudi route more, considering that "ready to die" was arguably the best rap album of the 90s decade and so many in that format successfully followed.

I've been hearing cudi rap with others, consequence, radio shows etc...He doesn´t do it often, smartly so, as he looks extremely vulnerable doing it, resulting in not exposing himself too much in the typical rap collaborative fashion, because he knows, at the end of the day that he's not an MC. He's a different type of player in the game, maybe the embodyment, the shinest beacon of the avant-guard phenomenom in the american hiphop arena: "hipster rappers". Where medaphors, lyrical prowess is substituted by sing-song swagger flows, sinthesizers and quirky beats. In this arena "a kid named Cudi" the rappers debut mixtape is seminal and unmatched by any other rapper who treads into this simbiosis - hipster(fucking with pop dance cool trends of music) and mixing it with | hiphop. A cousin of cudi is Wale, one of the first to experiment with alien styles of music that don't usually cling in hiphop's cypher. He himself when questioned by Joe Budden on camera didn't shy out in confessing that his family member couldn't spit. Regardless, Kid's singing ability, pop appeal, sonic sensibility is bigger than wale's will ever be.

A word of advice for listeners>
If you're looking for a revolutionary rap album you won't find it lyrics or mcing, one can only pray that it will be a dope music album with infectious hooks and enslaving with its beats and layer cake synths. The line up looks fantastic - Kanye, Mgmt, Dot the genius and the usual collaborators Ratatat (the indie rockers hiphop dream and the hiphoppers indie dream come true) pat and emile as well as the rap typical format conserved through common's narration.
I honestly think that this is just going to be a cute album, i don't think cudi's got it in him to ignite hiphop essentially because of his delivery handicaps, I hope profoundly that i'm wrong. I think that the mvp out of good music's camp this year will be Mr. Hudson with straight no chaser dropping oct. 6.

Future Previews|Reviews, the albums hiphop's been waiting for this year:
raekwon - ob4cl2 . Drake - so far gone . Reflection Eternal 2 - talib kweli and Hi-tek . Jay-z - the blueprint 3 . Wale - attention deficit . Joell Ortiz's unnamed december project. Crooked I - B.O.S.S. . Royce da 5'9 - Street Hop . Nas and Damien Marley's duet LP Distant Relatives . Buckshot and Krs-one duet lp . Rakim's comeback album . saigon - warning shots 2 . lupe fiasco - lasers . Eminem - relapse 2 . Ghost and dooms duet Lp . and ofcourse...Dr. Dre - detox is sheduled for release this year as well.

Do campo do Kanye, continuo à espera do Mr. Hudson a nova vinda do Sting.
